The Research Centre for Carbon Dioxide Capture and Utilisation (CCDCU) at ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ is committed to developing innovative solutions for reducing COâ‚‚ emissions and converting captured carbon into valuable products. Established in 2018 under the leadership of Professor Mohamed Kheireddine Aroua, the centre plays a key role in advancing research that supports global sustainability goals, particularly in climate action (SDG 13), clean energy (SDG 7), and industrial innovation (SDG 9).
CCDCU aims to be a global leader in research on carbon capture and utilisation (CCU) by developing cutting-edge technologies that support a net-zero carbon future. Its mission includes:
- Conducting high-impact research on COâ‚‚ capture and its conversion into fuels, chemicals, and other sustainable materials.
- Training researchers and professionals through postgraduate supervision, workshops, and skill development programs.
