Biography

Dr. Nurul holds a PhD in Fuel Cell Engineering from UKM, specializing in biogenic platinum electrocatalysts for direct methanol fuel cells. She also earned a Master’s in Chemistry (MPOB-sponsored) and a Bachelor's in Oleochemistry. Her research covers electrochemical energy conversion, hydrogen energy, fuel cells, nanomaterials, biomass conversion, green chemistry, bioadsorbents, and biosensors. She has collaborated with UiTM, UniKL, UKM, UNITEN, and PTSN and involved in an industry-driven research project with PETRONAS Research on AEM Water Electrolyzers. She also has secured multiple research grants and published widely in high-impact journals. She actively supervises students in renewable energy and nanomaterials research.
